Away for a week

I won't be posting new entries for about a week.....

To my regular customers, many thanks for visiting and please do proceed into the Manor and help yourselves with a cup of cyber-tea.... :)

To new visitors, thanks for dropping by and hope you'll find the articles interesting...I'll be in resting mode; please click around and have fun reading...post comments (but not those that will get the police knocking on my door, please)

Four reasons for not blogging this week:

1) My Japanese lady friend is coming to Singapore, so I have to tidy up my apartment.... :)

2) I've been spending too much time online - when I've got tons of work to clear! I'm feeling guilty.

3) I've just had an intellectual exchange with the great blogger at From a Singapore Angle - and he is just too good for me! (I've exhausted most of my internal strength after the exchange; I shouldn't have engaged in the debate - he's a philosopher) :)

4) I looked into the mirror today and noticed that I look increasingly like Master Yoda - which is terrible! (I mean, it's good to be able to wield the lightsaber like him but I don't think any guy will want to look like him) Conclusion: I've aged, and I need some time to get over this.

See you in a week's time!

Please post a picture. I'm interested in seeing how a human Yoda looks like lol

yeah, 日本の友達 is good motivation for cleaning up the room and ancillary facilities hehee

Hahaha! Jeffrey, you are so humorous! Yes yes, the 'ancillary facilities' are very important! (but it's not what you think!) ;)

Well, I'm sure Singapore Angle didn't; I was just kidding...But I must say it is quite 'deflationary' (is there such a word? As in, I feel I need to retreat into the secret chambers and practise for another 20 years before blogging again!) :)

P.S. If I post my pictures, I might lose all my fans...! Not that I have many lah... lol

Hi jan: Thanks for your support! In the mean time, please help yourself with the refreshments... :) And Jeff too, the refreshments...

Nearly every home in the world has some sort of video games device. Some people play online gaming as a livelihood, while others play for leisure. No matter why you are playing, games are not going anywhere. The advice below is truly priceless.

Save your game in multiple slots. Every now and then, save it in another one. There may be a time when you wish to return to the game and do something new. If you just keep saving as you go along, you won't have that option.

Try to limit gaming to no more than a few hours per day maximum. There is no doubt that gaming is addictive, and this has become a real problem for many people. Try to stick to playing computer games for only a few hours each day. If you're someone who plays long hours, then it's best to take plenty of breaks during the day.

Keep your graphic drivers up to date. When gaming on the computer, it is smart to make sure your picture is sharp and clear. You should update your drivers to ensure this. To find out what graphic drivers your computer has installed, open your device manager, then click update driver.

Spend quality time with your children by taking on a video game that you both enjoy. Many kids really enjoy playing games on their computers and video consoles. There is a lot to learn from playing video games. You can find games that are educational to teach them as well as help them learn the skill of hand-eye coordination.

Check out ratings when buying games for children. There is a big reason why video games have these ratings. If the game has a rating of M or A, you should not buy it for your kids. The ESRB website will provide more information about the video rating system.

You can go to sleep when you are dead! This common myth is believed by gamers and is also propagated by online websites which claim to provide good gaming ideas . Completely false! A person needs a full 8 hours to keep their body healthy.

Supervise your child if he or she plays online online gaming. While most of these games are rated by the ESRB, some also warn that in-game situations can change, falling into unrated territory. Many games offer chat features and customization options for characters and equippable items. When you take the time to monitor the online game play, you can ensure that your child is interacting in an environment that you are comfortable with.

You should make sure you seek nourishment when playing your computer games. Online Games can get someone away from reality, even to the point where they are forgetting to take care of their basic needs. When you are playing video games, remember to drink a lot of water because dehydration can make you ill.

It can be tempting to go all out buying expansion packs, add-ons and upgrades for your new game. This can get very pricey! Instead, be disciplined with your spending. Check out what you've got in the game you bought and only add on what you can afford.

Figure out how to operate the safety and parental controls of any gaming system that comes into your home. You can likely make adjustments that keep kids from viewing mature content. Some allow each gaming profile to be customized separately, allowing adults to enjoy games not meant for younger audiences.

No matter if you need to boost your grades, manage people and products, or get back at an enemy in the dark, video games can truly make it happen! Put the recommendations and tricks of this article to good use in your world of gaming today.
